“Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.” -Vince Lombardi
Vince Lombardi is right, winning isn’t everything, but when it comes to the Telly Awards Gradient definitely wants to win. And as most of you know, Gradient Productions once again brought home a win. Two actually. Well, people have taken notice. To be more specific, The Outlook has taken notice!
The article, entitled Silk Espresso Wins Award, appeared in last week’s Outlook and discusses Gradient’s Telly award winning partnership with Silk Espresso. For your convenience we have also included the article text below. Enjoy!
Silk Espresso Wins Award
Local coffee chain Silk Espresso took home bronze in the 32nd annual Telly Awards for its locally produced holiday commercial “Tidings of Coffee and Joy.”
Gradient Productions, which is also based in East County, was hired in 2009 by Silk Espresso to create an online and television advertising campaign, focusing on brand recognition and awareness. “Tidings of Coffee and Joy” was the third installment of a three-part campaign that used more than 700 photos to bring a barista to life through stop-motion animation.
In 2010, Gradient and Silk received a bronze Telly Award in the Local Food and Beverage category for a separate ad. Because of the work and level of difficulty required to create the stop-motion effects in “Tidings of Coffee and Joy,” Gradient’s work was submitted under the National Food and Beverage Category this year.
With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, Gradient’s work was judged against companies, agencies and brands of all sizes, from large multinational media companies to small ad agencies and local production houses.
